Most of us use the internet every day without thinking twice about what could be happening behind the screen. The Cyber Shield began as a personal research project and overtime I was able to transform it into an in-depth 228 page book exploring the threats that can affect the way we learn, connect, work, and live; from phishing and privacy to AI, social engineering, emerging technologies, and the future of cybersecurity. But reading about cybersecurity is only the beginning. The Cyber Shield brings the field of cybersecurity right to your room by examining real world policies, future careers, and practical resources that let you test what you know, explore real world situations, and build confidence along the way. Because staying safe online shouldn't mean you have to be an expert to feel confident, just empowered to understand it.

Empowering minds to shape the future
Don't be afraid of trying and getting it wrong. Be afraid of never finding out what could have been.
Hey, I'm Siddhi! 👋 I'm a freshly graduated high school student from Fort McMurray, Alberta, and, honestly, I'm still figuring out where all of this is going; but I've always known that I want to build things that matter. This year, I was incredibly honoured to be selected as one of 100 Schulich Leaders across Canada to study engineering. But long before that happened, I was simply a student who was curious about how things worked, constantly starting new projects, and asking a lot of “what if?” questions.
So, why cybersecurity? It started much closer to home. Over the years, I watched three generations of my family and community experience the consequences of the same problem. My grandfather was phished out of $12,000. My dad's company experienced a data breach. Then, on January 7th, my school district became the victim of a cyberattack. Seeing that vulnerability surface again and again made me realize something: this wasn't just a coincidence. It was a call to action. That's where The Cyber Shield began. What started as a personal project grew into a 228-page cybersecurity book that has since reached 50,000+ platforms worldwide. But for me, the number isn't really the point. What matters is the person who learned to question a suspicious message, the student who became more aware of their digital footprint, or the family that became a little more confident online. And that's why I created this platform. A book can most definitely share knowledge, but alongside I wanted to create a place where people could actually experience it.
At the end of the day, I'm just curious. I like learning things I don't know yet. I like starting projects before I have everything figured out. I like meeting people who think differently from me. So whether you came here because you're interested in cybersecurity, stumbled across The Cyber Shield, or are just curious about what I'm building — welcome. I'm glad you're here. And hopefully, you'll find something here that makes you a little more curious, a little more confident, or maybe even inspires you to start building something of your own.
